What you need
Your Vodafone-era address
vodafone.de, vodafonemail.de, the classic arcor.de, and the cable legacies kabelmail.de, unitybox.de and kabelbw.de all live on the same imap.vodafonemail.de platform.
The E-Mail/IMAP-Passwort (required)
Vodafone separates it from your MeinVodafone login: IMAP only accepts the dedicated e-mail password, set in the E-Mail & Cloud settings at mail.vodafone.de. The username is your full address, never just the part before the @.
Vodafone E-Mail (Germany) works best with a revocable app password.
