Connect your Telekom Mail (T-Online) email to Claude & ChatGPT

Telekom Mail never accepts your normal account password over IMAP: it wants a dedicated "Passwort für E-Mail-Programme" instead. Create it once in the E-Mail Center, and anymailmcp.com brings your t-online.de inbox into your assistant.

What you need

Your Telekom address

t-online.de and the newer magenta.de addresses both work and use the same secure servers.

A "Passwort für E-Mail-Programme" (required)

In the E-Mail Center open the gear icon, "Alle Einstellungen anzeigen", then "Passwörter", and create the password for email programs. Paste that here; your Telekom login password will not work over IMAP.

Telekom Mail (T-Online) works best with a revocable app password.

Under the hood

Server settings we auto-fill

You never type these. We detect them from your address and verify them live against T-Online’s servers — they’re here for the curious.

IMAP

Calendar: email-only

Telekom does expose CalDAV (spica.t-online.de), but it authenticates with your Telekom account password rather than the email program password IMAP requires, so a single connection cannot carry both. We connect Telekom Mail as email-only.
