What are my Orange IMAP settings?

IMAP is imap.orange.fr on port 993 (SSL); SMTP is smtp.orange.fr on port 465. Auto-detected from your address.

Which password do I use?

Preferably the "mot de passe dédié" Orange generates for mail programs, in your espace client under Connexion et Sécurité, Logiciels. If a correct password is still refused, check that POP/IMAP access is on in the Mail Orange settings: new mailboxes have it off.

Does my old wanadoo.fr address work?

Yes. Wanadoo addresses live on the same Orange servers and connect identically.

Turn on POP/IMAP access

Orange switches POP/IMAP off on newly created mailboxes. In Mail Orange open Paramètres and enable POP/IMAP access before connecting.

Your Orange address

orange.fr and wanadoo.fr addresses both work, with the full address as the username.

The mot de passe dédié

Orange generates a dedicated password for mail programs, used only for POP, IMAP and SMTP. Get it in your espace client under Connexion et Sécurité, then Logiciels, and paste it here. Orange recommends it; your usual Orange password still works on many accounts.

Orange works best with a revocable app password.
