Connect your Verizon.net Email email to Claude & ChatGPT
verizon.net addresses still work, they just do not live at Verizon anymore: the mailboxes moved to AOL years ago. With an AOL app password, anymailmcp.com connects your verizon.net inbox to your assistant.

What you need
Your verizon.net address
Keep the full @verizon.net address as your username. Behind the scenes it is an AOL Mail account now, which is why the IMAP server is imap.aol.com.
An AOL app password (required)
AOL rejects normal passwords over IMAP. Sign in at login.aol.com/account/security with your verizon.net address, generate an app password, and paste it here.
Verizon.net Email works best with a revocable app password.

Under the hood
Server settings we auto-fill
You never type these. We detect them from your address and verify them live against Verizon’s servers — they’re here for the curious.
- IMAP
- imap.aol.com:993
- SMTP
- smtp.verizon.net:465
- Encryption
- SSL/TLS
Verizon.net mail, like AOL, exposes no CalDAV calendar for third-party clients. Email works fully.
