Connect your Cox Email email to Claude & ChatGPT

Your cox.net address did not go away, it moved: Cox finished migrating every mailbox to Yahoo Mail in 2025, so your inbox now lives on Yahoo servers. With one Yahoo app password, anymailmcp.com puts it inside your assistant.

What you need

Your cox.net address

Unchanged by the migration. It now signs in through Yahoo, but the address itself stays cox.net.

A Yahoo app password (required)

Yahoo does not accept your normal password over IMAP. Generate one at login.yahoo.com/account/security and paste it here instead.

Cox Email works best with a revocable app password.

Under the hood

Server settings we auto-fill

You never type these. We detect them from your address and verify them live against Cox’s servers — they’re here for the curious.

Server settings
IMAP
imap.mail.yahoo.com:993
SMTP
smtp.mail.yahoo.com:465

SSL/TLS
Calendar: depends on your plan

Cox mailboxes now run on Yahoo, which exposes CalDAV at caldav.calendar.yahoo.com, and Cox says migrated calendar events moved over. We try to discover your calendar when you connect; email works fully either way.
