Connect your Comcast Xfinity email to Claude & ChatGPT

Xfinity email is plain IMAP with one famous quirk: a "third-party access" switch that is off by default. Flip it, and anymailmcp.com connects your comcast.net inbox to your assistant. Comcast is also moving every comcast.net mailbox to Yahoo Mail through 2026; once yours has moved, it connects with Yahoo settings instead.

Check whether your mailbox moved to Yahoo

Comcast has been inviting comcast.net users to move to Yahoo Mail since June 2025, rolling through 2026, and the move cannot be undone. If you accepted it, the steps below do not apply: sign in once at login.yahoo.com with your comcast.net address, create a Yahoo app password, and connect with imap.mail.yahoo.com and smtp.mail.yahoo.com.

Not moved yet: turn on third-party access

In Xfinity webmail: Settings, Security, then check the box under "Third Party Access Security". Without it, every mail app is rejected.
