What are my Poczta WP IMAP settings?

IMAP is imap.wp.pl on port 993 (SSL); SMTP is smtp.wp.pl on port 465. Auto-detected from your address.

Why does my WP password get rejected?

Two usual reasons: IMAP access is still off (enable it in Opcje, "IMAP/POP" tab), or two-step login is on, which requires a dedicated app password for mail programs instead of your normal one.

Enable IMAP in Poczta WP settings

In webmail open Opcje, go to the "IMAP/POP" tab and enable IMAP ("pobieraj i wysyłaj wiadomości"). WP refuses every mail program until this is on.

With two-step login, create an app password

If "logowanie dwustopniowe" is on, your normal password will not work here. In account security settings open "Logowanie dwustopniowe", then "Hasła do aplikacji", click "Utwórz hasło" and paste the generated password here.
