What are my Telenet IMAP settings?

IMAP is imap.telenet.be on port 993 (SSL); SMTP is smtp.telenet.be on port 587 with STARTTLS and authentication switched on. We detect these automatically from your address.

Which password does Telenet IMAP use?

The password of the mailbox itself, managed in Mijn Telenet. Since March 2022 Telenet only accepts encrypted IMAP and POP3 connections, which is how we connect anyway.

Does a Telenet calendar work?

No. Telenet offers no CalDAV calendar for external apps, so we connect Telenet as email-only.

What you need

Your telenet.be address

Telenet mailboxes all live on the telenet.be domain and share the same servers, imap.telenet.be and smtp.telenet.be. The username is your full address.

Your mailbox password

Telenet has no app passwords: IMAP takes the password of the e-mail address itself, the same one Telenet webmail accepts. You manage it in Mijn Telenet if you need to reset it.
