Why is the host email-ssl.com.br instead of mail.mydomain?

Locaweb serves every hosted domain from the shared host email-ssl.com.br so the SSL certificate always matches. Use your full address as the username and your mailbox password.

Can I connect an old @lwmail.com.br or Globomail address?

No. Locaweb discontinued the lwmail.com.br service on December 31, 2022, and those mailboxes no longer receive mail, so there is nothing left to connect.
