Connect your mail.com email to Claude & ChatGPT

mail.com runs on the same 1&1 platform as GMX: IMAP exists but is a Premium feature behind a toggle that ships switched off. Flip it, and anymailmcp.com brings your mail.com inbox and calendar into your assistant.

Before you connect

What you need

A mail.com Premium mailbox

mail.com reserves POP3 and IMAP for Premium customers; free accounts are webmail and app only. Every vanity domain works, from usa.com to consultant.com and techie.com, all on imap.mail.com.

IMAP enabled in webmail

Log in at mail.com, open E-mail, then Settings, then "POP3 & IMAP", tick "Enable access to this account via POP3 and IMAP" and save.

Your password, or an app password with 2FA

Your normal mail.com password works over IMAP. If two-factor authentication is on, create an application-specific password under Security Options and paste that here instead.

mail.com works best with a revocable app password.

Under the hood

Server settings we auto-fill

You never type these. We detect them from your address and verify them live against mail.com’s servers — they’re here for the curious.

Server settings
IMAP
imap.mail.com:993
SMTP
smtp.mail.com:587
Encryption
SSL/TLS
Calendar: yes

The mail.com organizer speaks CalDAV at caldav.mail.com with the same login as IMAP, including the same application-specific password when 2FA is on, so events ride along with your mail.
